Jefferson Parish Housing Services Development District
Project-Based Voucher Waiting List Opening
(This is not the regular Housing Choice Voucher Program Section 8 Waiting List)
The Jefferson Parish Housing Services Development District (HSDD) announces the opening of its Project-Based Voucher (PBV) Waiting List for a total of 15 units in the following properties (some addresses have more than one unit), collectively named JLN PBV Properties:

Pre-applications will be taken online at www.jphsdd.org on Monday, November 3, 2025, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 11:59 p.m. Applications must be submitted ONLINE with the use of a personal computer, laptop computer, smart phone, or tablet. Applications will not be accepted at the above properties or the HSDD office. There are public computers available for use at the Jefferson Parish libraries. Check your local branch or visit their website at www.jplibrary.net for information about locations and hours.
A computerized lottery will randomly select 300 applicants for placement on the waiting list. Each applicant will be assigned a rank based on their lottery number. In-place residents residing in the units as of the selection date of the PBV units will be given preference on the waiting list prior to persons selected through the lottery. Status information regarding placement on the waiting list will be available online after the closing date. Instructions for obtaining status information are provided during the online application process. We recommend that applicants have an email address when applying.
Please note that submission of an online pre-application does not guarantee placement on this waiting list, eligibility, or an offer of a housing voucher. A person would have to meet HSDD’s criteria for being eligible for a 2- bedroom or 3-bedroom unit, which is generally two persons per bedroom with a few exceptions as described in the Administrative Plan at www.jphsdd.org.
